But its weird that Danson gave the movie flick statement on the day of what I thought was supposed to be the hearing. You would think he'd mention something about it.....You know what, maybe it was pushed back, postponed again, etc. Maybe we were all mistaken, and its really another day.

Maybe it was pushed back, I read somewhere that they were still trying to figure out if the conditions were in fact breached so maybe it's taking a little longer to put everything together, such as how to present evidence etc. But yeah at the same time you'd think something would have been said. It wouldn't surprise me if they were in court already and the movie article was just to divert attention for fear the outcome of the proceeding would enrage the public yet again.... Who knows, just a theory.

all of a sudden, the movie isn't so important to the family's lawyer anymore. they were fighting it to the bone and it seems that all of a sudden, they dropped it and no word on the conditions hearing whihc is far more important then the movie.
your theory makes sense.

I think when it comes to the movie they probably would continue fighting it (as I probably would in their shoes) but Dork Danson said there is nothing more legally that can be done.
As for my comment about me fighting it if it was me, I don't think I would fight it if it were portrayed differently. I do believe in free speech etc. etc. I would want people to know the sick possibilities that are out there...BUT I would not want it shown based on *her* rendition of what happened. There were 2 perps and I wouldn't want them to excuse or justify either one. In my eyes they are both equally responsible, so keep it a he said/she said...not Woses Me....I'm the victim...

In the niagara falls review it said that thy took out one part where they show some boobue and now the families are happy. I don't get why all of a sudden Karla doesn't matter anymore.

i don't like how i heard the movie portrays karla as a victim either. to me, that's not truth therefore not a true story IMO. they should've done thier homework a little more deeper and got both sides, i totally agree. with that said, i'm still going to see it.
I don't get it either glen. as long as karla's out on the streets, she should always be watched so the public can stay safe from her and that should always matter.

The thing is alot of their info came from court documents and doctor's reports. The movie protrays what they have learnt from those papers. I think that it says something about the whole case when people that are not connected to this case what so ever come get the info and come to this conclusion. I don't know if they're right and we are just to attached to see it or if they're all wrong and we know the real story because we're so attached.

i never have believed karla to be a victim. never and i never will. the tapes prove her to be a willing participant. that right there says a lot. besides, what is said in court isn't always truth either. people lie and people like paul and karla, they're not all that credible. they would lie here and there to save themselves so the court papers don't mean 100% correct IMO.
Karla has victims and lots of them. she is on no way a victim herself. not when it comes to the crimes that she committed. it's serial. they should've talked to friends of karla and paul's and maybe inmates that shared some time with karla as well so they can make this movie with more truth in it then what it is now.
